Psychological therapy is a helpful intervention to support the pain journey. However, there is a long waiting list to see a pain specialist and no “try this in the meantime” option. This is where OMED kicks in - a project funded by QLD Metro South.
OMED is born to produce a psychological Brief Intervention (BI) in the form of a Progressive Web Application (app) running on Java or .Net (to be advised).
Web App Operational across devices including mobile phone, desk/laptop computer, tablet.
UX note: health providers more likely to access app by computer while patients more likely to access by mobile phone devices
As an admin using admin portal, you can:
Customise the appearance of the patient portal and health professional portal with branding including logo and colour pallet.
Back end view to see patient profiles as they see it.
Database summary of specific information (e.g. questionnaire scores, metrics of App use [time on activity, percentage completed etc].
Optional: admin capacity to update and add to a) registration requirements and b) core outcome measure questions/items collected.
On patient portal, there are the following functionalities:
Deliver intervention content customised to the individual patient (automate fields to their registration details; name, image, HP preferences/details, outcome scores).
Provide permission for HP access to their account
function to review and provide feedback on specific sections.
Potential for dual access to account – HP and patient can be looking at it together and using chat box to communicate.
Provide external copy/download key resources to HP: email sections and download PDF.
Optional third portal: custom HP portal to support delivery of BI.
HP can directly view the profiles of patients who have consented to their support. Potential to edit/add comments in specified sections.
Capacity for HP to send push notifications to patients and with consent, to export results for client records.
